I have been in Watamu for around 7 weeks now and I did my fist creek float last Wednesday. Something I have been wanting to do since I got here.
A Creek float involves judging the tides just right so that you can enter into the creek at particular points and get swept along by the current through the secretive mangroves until you reach the main body of the creek.
The view down the mangrove channel towards the creek was spectacular. We made it just in time to see the creek swallow the burning sun.
