So I am leaving for Watamu, Kenya tomorrow and I have been rushing around trying to sort my life out before the adventure begins. Wouldn't want to be unprepared!
As many of you will know I have just finished 3 crazy years at University! 2:1 graduate hello!
During my time at uni there was always that one looming question: "so what are you going to do after university?" To which I'd always reply "I don't bloody know!"
Everyone struggles at university and my first two years weren't easy. Always the thoughts of 'what am I doing here? What if I don't pass?' And 'what job am I going to do?' But something clicked in 3rd year. I started getting more out of uni life both socially and work wise. I began seeing things in the bigger picture and had a real drive and yearning to experience things no matter how little or how big.
I am a big believer in experience making you more employable! A degree is all good and that, but getting yourself out there and actually doing it is so valuable both to you and future employers. So that's kinda the plan with Kenya!
Even though I have actually finished university, I still don't fully know the answer to that question: "so what are you going to do after uni?" But now, you know what - it doesn't bother me. I am happy to say that I have no solid plans or predictions for the future. And that I am going to do my best to widen my horizons and gain as much experience as possible so to hopefully become more employable!
Well that's the plan anyway....!
